Question:
Dear Auntie Nangy
I am 25 years old and working while my girlfriend is 23. My problem is that I want a child but my girlfriend always tells me to wait. We only have sex when she is in the safe period. I want to know whether there aren’t any medicines I can use to get her pregnant while she is in her safe period.
Answer:
No, there is no medicine that you can use but the fact that you are even considering something like this is wrong. It is your girlfriend’s choice not to have children at this stage and you should respect her wishes. The other thing is that the most unsafe method of contraception is using the “safe” period and you and your girlfriend should know this as her chances of becoming pregnant are very high if you don’t use another form of contraception. This might be good news to you but remember that having a baby is a huge responsibility and if both of you are not equally committed to having one, it can put a very big strain on your relationship.

Question:
Dear Auntie Nangy
Can you please help me? I am 32 years old and I have a problem with my testicles. One is small and the other one is big. My question is will my sperm work to make a baby?
Answer:
Yes, they will work. The size of your testicles has nothing to do with your ability to produce sperm. It is actually quite common for men to have different size testicles. While I am on the subject let me remind all you men out there that just like women must regularly examine their breasts for lumps, you must also examine your testicles for lumps. If you feel anything, don’t wait, but see a doctor immediately.

Question:
Dear Auntie Nangy
I have a problem with my sex life. Every time my partner and I have sex, the condom bursts no matter how careful we are. We usually follow all steps on the condom on how to use it, what could we be doing wrong?
Answer:
You do realise you must put the condom on your penis and not your head? Just kidding. I am at a loss for an explanation. If you follow all the instructions carefully then the chances of a condom bursting are very, very slim indeed and it is the first time I hear about a condom bursting every time. The only thing that I can suggest is that you ask a pharmacist for assistance in choosing and using the right condom.

Question:
Dear Auntie Nangy
I am a lady of 21 years old and I am in love with a guy of 24. My problem is that people complain about him, they say he never gives me anything, not even money. But I really love him and it’s not because of money. Should I continue my relationship with him or leave him?
Answer:
You really shouldn’t worry what people say as they are not the ones in the relationship and if you love him and the money is not a concern, then it is your choice and your choice alone and even I cannot tell you what you should do, just as nobody else can. Just decide what YOU want and what makes YOU happy and stick with that.

Question:
Dear Auntie Nangy
My 9-year-old brother told me that sometimes during the night a milky liquid comes out of his penis and he gets a funny feeling when it happens. Is it possible for a boy to have wet dreams at that age? How do I explain this to him?
Answer:
Yes, he can have wet dreams at this age and you can explain to him that this is normal, all boys experience it and it is nothing to be worried or ashamed about. I appreciate the fact that you are so concerned about him that you make the effort to give him the correct advice. You are an excellent older sibling!

Question:
Dear Auntie Nangy
I only want to tell you that I’m so disappointed with some of your advice to people. Masturbation is a demonic spirit and it brings other problems, I’m talking from experience.
Answer:
A demonic spirit? Are we even on the same planet? Masturbation is a normal, healthy practice and an addiction to masturbation usually stems from some other psychological problems. I am not sure what problems you experienced but if for instance you masturbated in public, then you can expect problems.
