Question:
Dear Auntie Nangy
Concerning Auntie's letter of the day "They are all drunkards" I would like to advice this person to seek help from God. He/she should attend church services every day and read the Bible to keep busy. For example he/she can join the (name of church supplied). I am sure she/he can be helped. I was also a drunkard but God delivered me through the church.
Answer:
Thank you for your response. In my column I try not to advocate any specific religion or church which is the reason why I did not include the name of the church or the 24-hour helpline that you supplied, but I really appreciate getting a letter like yours about a person that could stop the abuse of alcohol. This is such a huge problem in our country that has a big negative impact because of the consequences like gender based violence, unemployment and so forth and every single person that can get out of this vicious circle by whatever means is a winner and I gladly share your story with our readers. Keep it up.

Question:
Dear Auntie Nangy
I’m 26 and I’m in love with a 22-year-old guy. Can we have a relationship or will it later be a problem for his family?
Answer:
I honestly can not see any reason why you can’t have a relationship. There is a small difference in age and that should not be a problem if two people are in love. As for his family having a problem, I think he must have the answer to that question as it is after all his family and he should know what their reaction would be. It seems to me that you haven’t discussed your concern with him yet. Communication is the foundation of any relationship and you should discuss any misgivings that you have with him.

Question:
Dear Auntie Nangy
I had unprotected sex and used a pregnancy test that showed a negative result and I menstruated as well. Is it possible that I might be pregnant?
Answer:
Most definitely not. The pregnancy tests are very accurate and the fact that you had your period proves conclusively that you are not pregnant. I do hope that you have learned a lesson to use a condom in future so as not to worry all the time.

A passenger was thrown off a flight after noisily objecting to the pilot being a woman. Just before take-off, he stood up and shouted: “Someone should have told me the captain was a woman. “I’m not flying with a female at the controls.”
Police were called to the domestic flight from the Brazilian city of Belo Horizonte and, as other passengers booed him, led the man away. The flight was delayed by an hour. Read more about A woman pilot? I want to get off

Driving to work, a gentlman had to swerve to avoid a box that fell out of a truck in front of him. Seconds later, a policeman pulled him over for reckless driving. Fortunately, another officer had seen the carton in the road. The policmen stopped traffic and recovered the box. It was found to contain large upholstery tacks.
"I'm sorry sir," the first trooper told the driver, "but I am still going to have to write you a ticket."
