Turkish rescue workers retrieved an inflatable sex doll from the Black Sea after police were notified by panicked residents who mistook it for a woman’s body floating o shore, Milliyet newspaper reported on Sunday. Police cordoned o a wide stretch of beach in northern Samsun province and sent a team of divers into the water to rescue what appeared to be a drowning woman, it said. The team quickly discovered it was in fact a blow-up doll, which they deflated before throwing in the garbage, the daily said. It was not clear where the blowup doll had come from. Doctors in Ho Chin Minh City successfully reattached a man’s penis after he cut it o_ to demonstrate his faithfulness to his wife, a surgeon said Tuesday. “It took us 1,5 hours to reattach it, but the penis is showing signs of life today,” said Truong Hoang Minh, head of the surgical and kidney transplant department at the city’s 115 People’s Hospital. A Washington, D.C., musician who ordered a flat-screen TV through Amazon received a military-style assault rifle instead. Seth Horvitz ordered the 39-inch Westinghouse TV through one of Amazon’s third-party vendors. UPS left a smaller box at his apartment in northeast D.C. The 38-year-old electronic musician thought the seller had sent him a stand for the set. Inside, Horvitz found a black, semiautomatic Sig Sauer SIG716, similar to the M16, which US forces have carried for 50 years, and the AR-10. The SIG716 is used by law enforcement and the military.
