The 2013 Senior National Track and Field Championship proved to be a great success, with the 400m race resulting in a sensational upset on Saturday.
Showing blistering pace and steely determination, Ernst Narib upstaged two of Namibia’s finest 400m athletes to claim victory in the event at the Bank Windhoek Senior National Track and Field Championship over the weekend.
Narib was not one of the favourites in the race, as it featured the three-time 400m national champion, Basilus Karupu, as well as Frank Puriza, who is a powerhouse over that distance. Read more about Narib causes 400m upset

The 2012/2013 NPL trophy seems to be heading to Black Africa again, after the team picked up some valuable points, while their nearest rivals failed to do the same.

The Namibia Football Association (NFA) is determined to put up a spectacle when Namibia hosts the African Women’s Championship next year.
The Namibia Football Association (NFA) will pull out all the stops to ensure the successful hosting of the 2014 Confederation of African Football (CAF) Women’s Championship, according to a press release issued by that organisation yesterday.
