2ko and Koxa making it on their own
They are cousins, they grew up together, and over the years they have become best friends. Taukondje Paulus and Kondjeni Ndiweda, or rather 2ko and koxa as they are known, also share a love for music. They are now featuring on the Yo! Countdown and are busy working on their debut album expected to be completed by June.
They also registered their own studio, Volcano Productions, and are serious about making it on their own.
2ko and koxa are almost done with recording their debut album featuring Lady May, M-Jay, Mushe, Satlam, Mappz, Glo, EXIT, Karlos Lokos, as well as Killa B, amongst others.
In the meantime, the boys have already released a single, Beauty Maria, currently played on local radio stations, and are also shining on the Yo! Countdown. Beauty Maria features the talented Nesslow who is well-known for his success featuring on EXIT’s Days Like This.
Toast is another single 2ko and koxa hope to drop by March.
“We do all types of music including Kwaito, Dancehall, love songs, and so forth,” said the two in an interview with tjil!
Since March last year they started working with Mushe. “Satlam helped us find a producer, and he hooked us up with Mushe.” They worked with Mushe for five months – recording their debut album.
“We wanted to go on our own and prove to ourselves that we can do it, hence we broke away from Mushe at the beginning of this year and then registered Volcano Productions.
“We were too young, which is most probably the reason people did not take us seriously,” is what the boys said when asked why they only started working on their music last year.
Both Taukondjo and Kondjeni are learners at a private school in the capital.
